i own two hard drives with minimal free space. The drive with more space got the files moved to the one with enough room for Steam. During the transfer, I found some identical files on the other drive, so I replaced them afterward. Afterward, the second drive had 45 fewer gigabytes than before. When I opened Steam, I realized I needed an update. After updating, I went into the game and noticed my PC crashed. Now, when I access that drive, the files I previously had are still there after the OS upgrade.

Add the new file location inside the main Steam libraries folder. Then check the cache for each game individually, possibly downloading any corrupted files and locating the moved items.
