Windows 10 is really frustrating for me, so I’m thinking about going back to Windows 7. I enabled legacy mode and it works at least. My setup includes the z390-e motherboard from ASUS, an i9-9900k processor, and a GTX 1080 graphics card. How can I install drivers such as Lan, USB C, and similar features?

Consider alternatives since the board partners aren't available. Or maybe explore Windows 9.

The idea isn't about Windows 9 using an 8.1 base, and it also doesn't include drivers for the Z390.

Just a quick note, I assumed it was meant for ten.

The situation is clear you can't. It’s hard to remember when Intel stopped backing Windows 7 and 8.1, but eventually Microsoft ended support for CPUs in older operating systems. This means board partners have no incentive to create drivers for those legacy systems anymore.

Many of these drivers are found on chipset manufacturers' sites. If you prefer not to use a built-in GPU, you can install all drivers and run Windows 7. You'll need a PS2 mouse and keyboard for this setup. Other related information is available, but you should disregard any claims stating it's impossible.

I’d prefer sticking with Windows 10, since it looks like no drivers exist for Windows 7 with your current processor.

Honestly, windows generally disappoint most people. The driver issues and absence of support from both Microsoft and third parties make it unsustainable. Windows 8 and 8.1 were particularly problematic, so I wouldn’t consider using them again.
