Hey there! I'm considering parts for my upcoming HTPC setup and need to decide between Windows 7 Home Premium and Windows 8.1 Full. I found a deal on Windows 7 for $69.99, which is $30 off the regular price. With Windows 10 on the horizon, it seems like a smart choice to go with Windows 7. I'm just gathering some thoughts and looking for additional perspectives. The build details are listed here, and I'm planning purchases later rather than right now. Find the more affordable option, since Windows 10 will be available for free anyway.

Install Windows 7—it's more affordable, you'll receive Windows 10 for free, and it includes Windows Media Center right out of the box.
