Windows 7 or 8.1?
Windows 7 or 8.1?
I don't need a start button anymore; I stick programs to the taskbar and the right-click menu holds everything I need. The only thing that bothers me is how Bluetooth show/pair devices link to the notification area and end up on a metro screen. I understand you can check the CP for a regular screen, but it adds extra steps and navigation, which is annoying. Usually it's fine since I don't pair often, but lately I've been testing Bluetooth prototypes regularly. Edit: ZetZet beat me to it lol.
I was thinking about posting but this subject fits my question well. Since I'm on version 7 and intend to upgrade soon, should I hold off until version 10 is available or move to 8.1 with the new release? I already have my build up and running before 10, so it's hard to decide what's best.
I've used many versions of Windows from the time I was little—Windows 98, Me, XP, Vista, 7, and 8—and now I'm just 13. Plus, I have an ATi graphics card called X800GT with the dragon.
Windows 7, to me, is more user friendly than Windows 8 but Windows 8 has a ton of handy new features. Also, I enjoy the ability to download apps and I like the fact that Windows has gotten into the tablet market. This is why I think Windows 10 is going to be amazing because it will be the best of both worlds: user friendly and full of features.
I've faced issues with Windows 8.1 damaging my files before, so I'm sticking with Windows 7. The Windows 10 preview seemed really good at first, but once it stabilized I'll switch to it as my main system.
