I've actually looked at them side by side. Classic Shell is free and offers many more capabilities than Start Is Back. Unless they restrict access until you pay, the trial period shows significantly fewer choices. ... You receive extended support and your system uses less power. That’s the benefit. I’m not sure what you’re referring to. Here’s a comparison: StartIsBack on their website versus Classic Shell... So yes. To my eyes, they seem quite alike. Except I have more functionality with Classic Shell, and it’s completely free.
