I’ve delved deeper into Windows and settled on Windows 7 Home Premium. I discovered a reputable site where I can purchase it, and since my USB drives hold important files for YouTube and schoolwork, I needed a replacement. I also found another drive with an ISO file available. What are your thoughts on that option? LINKS Windows 7: https://softwaregeeks.co.uk/product/wind...oCq5Hw_wcB Bootable USB: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Windows-7-Home...Sw7hRWP54w I’m 80% confident these will work together.

Windows 7 is becoming outdated, many devices and programs no longer support older versions (though some Windows 8 drivers could still function). Plus, Home Premium feels limited in terms of functionality, honestly.

Creating a bootable USB from an ISO is possible using free tools, but Windows 7 Pro seems more suitable, particularly with ample RAM. I still dislike version 10 overall.

You might want to try the same setup on Windows 8/8.1 Home Premium. I appreciate the straightforwardness of Windows 7, but I’m uncertain now. What does it mean when it says more than 16GB won’t help? You have exactly 16GB, should that be okay? Also, what are your main needs?

You intended to include additional features while using Rufus for the auto-boot process.

It seems you should opt for Windows 10 Pro. It offers the best balance of performance and ongoing support. Technical assistance for Windows 7 stopped in January.

Debatable at best; consider boosting to 7 for desktop performance. Upgrading to 7 offers better results compared to 8.

What is technical support? It keeps getting updated until 2020.

Windows 10 is designed to block modding for Steam games like Fallout 4, Skyrim and The Witcher. As a mod developer this could pose a significant challenge. You might prefer Windows 7 Pro now, with the option to switch to Windows 10 later if needed.
