Hello everyone ! I am a young audio producer and I'm on a budget. Therefore I can't afford 3 or 4 different computers. I have my recording studio PC which is a dedicated machine, but I also do live perfomances. For that, I use my Asus G73sw laptop which usually makes it through. But I have been requiring a bit more computing power and since my laptop isn't solely dedicated to music perfomance, I was wondering if there was any way I could have different boot modes in my laptop. One in which I'd have everything working as usual (wifi/internet, antivirus, other power hungry services) and another boot mode where everything would be deactivated so it would boot faster and would perform better in live performances. Anyone knows a way through ? I'd like to apologize for any spelling mistakes, I'm not an english native speaker. Thanks in advance !

You might be able to run two Windows installations side by side. It won’t cause major delays... just consider adding an SSD for better performance.

I considered it too, but I’d rather disable just certain services rather than set up a dual-boot setup

Great news! I wasn’t aware of this feature, but it’s pretty useful. The only downside is having to open msconfig before each show, though that’s still better than nothing. I’ll consider it resolved if no one offers an alternative. Appreciate the help!
