Sorry for the misunderstanding. You're correct—UEFI is necessary, but some very old systems still run 64-bit with MBR. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Consider purchasing an additional drive or looking for the Windows Enterprise 90 Day Trial. Microsoft also provides Windows 10 for a 90-day period. After that, you can purchase a subkey online, such as on eBay for $10, to install Windows.

It's interesting how long non-UEFI was around. Even Sandy Bridge didn't include UEFI from the start. The addition came with Ivy Bridge in 2012. We now rely on UEFI, but it's only been standard for about the last 5 to 6 years.

I don't evaluate whether you support piracy or not (downloading from Microsoft isn't your goal, otherwise it might suggest financial hardship). Most pirates are aware of where to find downloads. If you're hesitant about torrents or unsure how, then you should worry more about risking illegal Windows copies, since you might end up with a virus instead of a crack.
