Here’s a clearer version of your message:

I’m a bit confused about this situation. My friend had a motherboard that failed, so he bought a new one (the one listed in the specs). When we boot up, everything seems fine until the W7 "Starting windows..." screen appears. The lights start touching and then the system restarts automatically—no BSOD. I checked the BIOS settings and everything looks normal; the CPU temperature stays between 45–50°C. We used default values, but it keeps happening. I’ve tried it with my own CPU (FX-8120), HDD (WD 1TB Caviar Black, Windows 7) and PSU (Thermaltake Purepower 700W). It still happens. I’m also planning to test the GPU (GTX 760) later. My guess is the issue might be with the motherboard, even though it’s brand new. Please let me know if you need more details—I’ll follow up periodically.

Could you attempt to launch the Windows installation and see if it starts properly? If it works, the issue likely lies with the motherboard.

you might also attempt launching from a USB drive, a Windows setup, or an Ubuntu live environment

If they're running the same Windows setup, the problem might be with a driver. Consider booting in safe mode or using a recovery disk.

Your system works well with both your local SSD and the USB Windows 7 installation. The HDD running Ubuntu is still functional, and you're not sure about the other drive yet.

Safe mode isn’t functioning properly—it displays the Windows loading screen before restarting again. The Startup Repair tool also doesn’t resolve the issue. I’ve tested it on Windows 7 from three distinct partitions, but each installation seemed unique.

Windows must be reinstalled. Updating to Windows 7 and Gigabytes mobos isn't compatible with changing the motherboard.

I was planning to try a fresh W10 setup. I’ll update you once it’s done. Thanks to all who helped me out!

It seems to match what @LoGiCalDrm mentioned. I attempted using another fresh W7 installation, but it failed. It worked smoothly with the W10 version, so that makes sense. Thanks everyone for your assistance! Your help was really valuable!

Win10 performs significantly better after changing the motherboard. Even with the same chipset, I needed to reinstall Windows 7 afterward.
