After spending a year improving myself with Win 32 and the I3 RAM upgrades, I feel it's time to move to 64. However, I'm unsure what I need on my boot disc to make it work. I'll share pictures of the file contents later.

You're asking about preparing your system for Windows 7 installation. It involves setting up the hardware—motherboard, chipset, network, and graphics drivers—and ensuring you have the right software ready. After installation, you can download additional programs online. To streamline post-installation setup, consider having the necessary installers for browsers, games, media players, etc. Always back up important files like documents, movies, music, photos, and games. For the installation media, obtain an ISO from Microsoft or download it from their site, then burn it to a DVD. If you need a bootable USB drive, Microsoft offers tools to create one.

Essential items: Save everything you wish to retain. External storage is best. If available, use Windows installer to save files in Windows.old. Keep a spare USB containing all drivers and software you might require. This simplifies the process. Ensure your key is easily accessible; it shouldn’t need entering during installation. Also, confirm you have it before beginning the install. The same installer should function across both versions. Key compatibility is confirmed, though I’m uncertain about the disc itself.
