Hi, I've configured my PC solely for gaming with Windows 7 Basic 64-bit (latest sp1). I've turned off LAN since I won't be connecting to the internet. The main concern is whether Windows 7 Basic (64-bit) actually limits RAM usage to a maximum of 8GB, even though I have 16GB installed. I've attached a screenshot of my process screen. Should I need to install Windows 7 Pro instead?

You must add Home Premium to get access to the full 16GB storage.

Microsoft is stopping support for Windows 7 by the end of this year (January 2020). For a fresh setup, consider moving to Windows 10 or you might encounter serious security issues soon.

Installation will include 'Win 7 64 bit Home Premium' from a fresh setup, using AVG only with LAN disabled. They don't like Windows 10, even though I've used it before on a laptop connected to the internet (Win 7 64bit). If internet becomes available later, Hijack This, VoodooShield, and Malwarebytes will be helpful.

POPos. Don’t rely on the latest updates from OS. Please... Just... No... You really want your device fixed. If you care about your safety, upgrade or switch to open source. Your credit score and bank account will appreciate it later. And skip Windows updates... wow... People are really surprised by how much they don’t know, assuming they’re better than the developers of the system you’re using. But honestly, maybe that’s why I keep my job in IT.
