You can simply use an ISO from the Microsoft site; you don't need to retain the disk. Also, are you reinstalling Windows 7 to upgrade to Windows 10?

You can use it on another Windows Home Premium CD, but make sure it's the correct version for your device.

No matter if you own the original disk or not. As long as it matches the same version (service pack doesn't matter), it should function.
