Windows 7 abruptly flags your software as non-compliant.
Hello everyone, I've been using this PC for some time and recently added an SSD instead of a traditional HDD. Suddenly I received a warning that my Windows isn't genuine, even though it's the same version that came with my Acer machine. On my desktop, it also shows 'Windows 7, build 7601, this copy isn't legitimate.' How could this happen? Thanks for your help!
Use the serial connection to restart. Major hardware updates may prevent windows from starting.
You confirmed activating it using the key during the installation of the SSD.
It was roughly a month prior, and I applied Acer eRecovery Management for that.
I no longer have access to the code, and this computer is more than five years old.
Upgrading a motherboard or certain components will disable your Windows installation. Contact Microsoft and let them know about the upgrades; they’ll assist in fixing the problem. Note: If you lack the activation code, you may find the serial number or genuine Windows sticker on the case’s exterior.
I also upgraded my motherboard because the previous one stopped working.
