You recently bought a new hard drive and installed Windows. Your mouse was functioning properly at first. After installing the USB 3.0 driver, you restarted and then tried again, but the mouse stopped working. Even when using a USB 2.0, it didn’t work. The BIOS is still operational. Could you provide more details?

Try a different mouse. I face an issue when launching my PC; SteelSeries Kinzu v2 won’t function until you remove it and swap it with an older model, pause for a moment, then reinstall.

The mouse I used was experiencing the same issue. Could you confirm if any updates were installed? I need to be sure.

The Windows Update is managed through the Windows Update feature in the Control Panel or via Settings.

Ensure you're using a ps/2 keyboard and mouse when applying this update. If not, switch to a USB keyboard in Safe Mode and remove it. Once done, everything should function properly.
