Hi, Windows 7 seems to be outdated, but you still remember how great it looked and worked. Are there any security updates you can install yourself on your Windows 7 system? Or are there general improvement updates available? I haven’t used Windows 7 since I got a newer version, but the interface was really appealing. I noticed W7 is mostly replaced by Windows 10, though they don’t offer the same experience. Do you have any suggestions or resources to help me? Thanks!

Security measures have been discontinued along with all third-party updates and support. This poses a risk, so proceed at your own discretion. No fixes are available here.

There were several methods to access the paid LTS channel for free that could achieve your goals, though Microsoft has stopped providing support for them now, leaving you dependent on community patches if any exist. Many programs currently lack compatibility with Windows 7, making web browsing risky due to outdated and insecure browsers. I understand you appreciate the interface of Windows 7, but it’s not feasible to use it safely or effectively.

The sole purpose of using Windows 7 is to operate Windows Media Center as an alternative to a cable TV box. Avoid using it for any other tasks.

the main issue with version 7 is that numerous games and programs can't run properly, which means adjusting version 10 is the safest choice. pro tip: avoid removing any essential system services—don’t try to "debloat" here. Here’s my slightly modified version of Windows 10 (XP level) that feels just right (the real reason for version 7 is still there). I added all custom tweaks, but the original Microsoft release sounds more authentic!
