I plan to set up a new window (x64) and was wondering which Windows edition fits best—Pro or Home. Home is mainly for gaming, while Win is more suited for Twitch streaming and video editing.

I’d choose Pro because it offers more capabilities, especially if you plan to use it for specific tasks. Windows Home has fewer options.

Choose a Win home key from Kinguin or another site. Avoid OEM licenses unless necessary. Most folks don’t need PRO licenses—opt for the standard version.

If you didn't already know the differences between home and pro, then that means you don't need any of the extra features that pro has. There's no point in wasting more money on pro.

Some people say gaming on Windows 7 with a gaming PC is ideal, but whether it's true depends on your needs and setup.

It varies by game, though most recent titles run well on Windows 10. It’s not a universal rule, but I haven’t verified it personally.

Windows 10 Home available on ebay (Germany) for around 5€. Windows 10 Pro on ebay (Germany) priced at about 3€. That means you have no reason not to purchase Windows 10 Pro.

That means you saved 2€. A key on kinguin or reddit costs around 25$. A retail key is roughly 100$ (not OEM). Keep in mind, Kinguin is a fairly trustworthy seller even though they operate in the grey market. You should only get a Pro key if you really need those additional features (very rare) or if your system has more than 128GB of RAM—which most people don’t have.
