I haven’t found a way to upgrade to Windows 2004 yet. Would it be better to get the update directly from Microsoft or wait for it to appear in the Windows Update section? I believed it was launched in May.

They share it gradually, and they may skip it if they think your setup could clash with it or lead to issues. Among my systems, not every one has received it yet. This feels typical and shouldn’t cause concern. Unless you really need a specific capability immediately, just hold off.
