How secure is this process? I tend to be cautious about unofficial methods.

It essentially builds a set of web pages containing links to files on Microsoft's servers, ensuring complete safety.

The 1903 update didn't work, but the support person suggested checking for compatibility issues and upgrading to 1809 before moving to 1903.

It’s not a major issue. Certain programs or devices might lead to complications during an upgrade, which is why Windows updates often pause these changes until the problem is fixed. You should be able to move up to version 1809, and maybe even to 1903 eventually.

The 1809 Update failed. I’ll attempt it in safe mode. It’s really pushing me to the limit, and there seems to be no other choice but to start fresh.

Did you attach the ISO as a virtual disk? Which one was included? For a single architecture, you must set <virtual DVD>:Sources\install.esd. Otherwise, use <virtual DVD>:<architecture> (e.g., x64 or x86).

Mount it appears to be a virtual drive? I just pressed mount and it looked like a DVD drive. It's x64, with the same build number as the one I have—1803 for the 2019 update. Updating to 1809 and 1903 didn't work either. What should I use for the command line? It seems my .wim file is on my local SSD.

Just finished a fresh setup on 1903 and it’s running smoothly. Thanks for your assistance—I think the system got messed up when transferring files from the HDD to the SSD.
