Windows 1803 "Ultimate Performance Mode"
Hello everyone, I recently discovered some updated power settings in Windows Update 1803. The new “Ultimate Performance Mode” is only available for Windows 10 Pro Workstation, but I managed to activate it on my Windows 10 (Pro) machine using a few CMD commands. How to do it: open CMD as administrator, type the command and press Enter. Search for “powercfg.cpl” in Windows, double-click it, go to Power Settings, and click Advanced. Now “Ultimate Performance Mode” is available. I noticed a noticeable improvement in gaming and heavy tasks—about 1-2% faster performance. I hope Linus takes notice and creates a detailed video analysis! Sorry for the unclear English… Have a great day. =^.^=
This seems to be about a small percentage range, likely related to measurement accuracy. It impacts efficiency by adding unnecessary overhead.
My home creates its own power using solar panels... the utility company compensates us for it... honestly, I’d choose a high-performance CPU anytime it delivered real value.
It seems you're evaluating a two-phase sub-zero cooling solution...
If you're working behind the scenes and need smooth gameplay, for instance when handling complex 3D visuals, long simulations, or video production, consider shifting your focus to gaming. This way, your system can prioritize performance over extended processing times.
