Microsoft has verified multiple new problems appearing in the September monthly release for Windows 11. An article was published today. https://www.windowslatest.com/2025/09/22...25-update/ The reported issues include jittering and reduced performance when using digital TV apps and DVD apps, particularly those employing Enhanced Video Renderer with HDCP enforcement or DRM. Another concern is problems with Javelin anti-cheat, as some EA Games have stopped supporting this update, even in earlier previews. Additionally, certain older Direct X 9 titles are experiencing rendering issues with opening movies.

It's cool that Battlefield appears on the list. Their biggest upcoming game is set to drop in just three weeks.

Fortunately, everything at home continues to function with Windows 10. On the work end, SMB problems could be a concern. It seems the entire device group was updated and now runs Windows 11—something to keep an eye on...

I've noticed some discussions in this forum a few weeks back about sudden issues with Battlefield 6 Open beta and other EA titles. It started with an optional preview update, but even after the regular patch on Tuesday, it wasn't fully resolved. Microsoft appears to be taking too long to acknowledge problems. They should have addressed it during the optional preview, and fixed it before the September update. Their preview updates are meant for volunteer testers to help identify issues. The next major update is scheduled for October 14th, with the Battlefield 6 release expected on October 10th. They'll need to patch it in the upcoming update instead. If they manage that without introducing other problems, it would be a positive step.
