I discovered a discussion on another site where someone thought Widgets might be the cause, so I went through the instructions in the link you shared to remove them, and it resolved the problem for me.

I plan to delete the Windows 11 widgets and observe the outcome. I'll share my findings here. Removing the widgets: Get-AppxPackage *WebExperience* | Remove-AppxPackage

It seems quite unusual, I felt confused and worried about my computer. I've tried this before, but it hasn't helped yet. I'll keep tracking the problem and reach out if it persists. Extremely annoying.

Certainly confirmed. Appreciate the confirmation! Hopefully it doesn’t come back—just needs a bit of persuasion for a few days, haha.

It's great the problem was resolved. The fix I applied on June 6th worked, and everything is stable now. Just keep an eye out for any upcoming Windows updates that might affect it.

Another update. I discovered this discussion on Duckgo after seeing strange delays or unresponsiveness in desktop icons after a fresh Windows 11 setup with all updates. It looks like the problem might have been fixed after a few hours of testing. Appreciate the advice! Quite odd situation.

I finally located a discussion board addressing the exact issue, since most threads focused on computer freezing. The initial sign appeared with a new NVMe storage device, prompting concerns about hardware failure. I considered that installing Windows on the NVMe drive might be the cause. I attempted a workaround by deleting widgets and will update you once I’ve tested it over a few days Smile

@ArrowPK You had any success after deleting the widgets? I just did it today. Fingers crossed I get similar results.

Waste electricity completely. Just let your computer enter sleep mode (memory stand-by, then hibernate before turning off) after 45 minutes or an hour. This not only burns coal but also leaves unknown data sent to services while you're idle. It creates a vulnerability for malware on connected networks all day and night. Unpatched Wi-Fi routers have been hacked recently, and many security flaws in Windows remain undiscovered. Your device could get infected via a zero-day exploit when unused. To prevent this, back up your data regularly—especially the Windows partition. For extra protection, adjust your power plan to use minimal CPU power, lowering heat and energy consumption.
