Windows 11 Setup Without Internet Access
Windows 11 Setup Without Internet Access
Hey All!
I’ve been assembling a new rig and ran into something unusual. In short, my computer is connected and I’m moving through the Windows 11 setup. At the “Let’s connect you to a network” stage, I’m plugged into Ethernet, but also have the Asus Prime Z790-A WiFi with the antenna attached.
At first I assumed it was a firmware problem, so I updated my BIOS, which was several months behind. The issue kept happening.
I searched online and found that many people use the Command Prompt to stop a process named “Network something.” I tried that, but it only gives me a retry option and keeps looping back to the same screen.
I considered it might be related to the drivers, but I can’t install ASUS’ LAN and WiFi Drivers from the BIOS unless I know how. I could download them from the command prompt in setup, but no one has shown that method clearly, which makes me a bit unsure.
Please let me know if you can assist me. Thanks!
Yes, I purchased a USB yesterday for it and installed it directly from the website, making it brand new.
