Windows 11 problems with NVIDIA drivers lead to reduced or frozen frame rates.
I’m a beginner with Windows 11 and joined the testing program right from the start. The release was official, and I performed a fresh installation to get the latest stable version. For a while everything worked smoothly until about a week ago, coinciding with the L3 AMD Cache update. Since then, I’ve noticed performance drops in several games: Valorant often stalls above 300 FPS, Fortnite falls below 150, and Apex Legends lags to 10-20 FPS. Even short videos on YouTube freeze when playing a game. A quick restart helped temporarily, but it stopped working again recently. Now I’m considering a full driver reinstall to try and stabilize things.
Luc1412 might reset all options in the NVidia control panel, which could fix a corrupted setting from Nvidia updates. It's worth mentioning that no new overlays appear on your game; if Steam, Ubisoft, or MSI were conflicting, adjusting those settings restored my FPS to over 80.
