PC specifications were noted, including the motherboard model, CPU, cooler, power supply, RAM, graphics card, storage devices, operating system, and recent changes. There were reports of freezing incidents without warning, occurring across different activities such as browsing, gaming, and using the monitor in sleep mode. The freezing would happen regardless of location, with no error messages displayed. The user experienced complete unresponsiveness, inability to move or open applications, and even the LED indicators stopped looping. Occasionally, the issue would appear after leaving the PC in sleep mode for several days before resuming normal operation, sometimes within a few hours or even on the same day. There was uncertainty about when this started, as it hadn't been present before, and the second 3.0 M.2 SSD installation might be related to the problem. Assistance was sought for possible causes and solutions.

Do you have all your drivers current? Are the bios up to date?

All systems are current, I did this a month back after noticing this freezing often.
I reduced the RAM's MHz from 3200 to 3000MHz in Bios, hoping it would resolve the problem. If there are any suggestions or advice, I'm really grateful.

After lowering the MHz of my Rams, I experienced a crash with a blue screen once, and the PC restarted on its own. The freezing issue hasn’t appeared yet, but a crash is now occurring. Any advice would be appreciated.

Verify your RAM with tools such as Memtest86.

The freezing started again two days after turning off my PC in sleep mode, while I was scrolling through some YouTube videos. It's really annoying, and I'm curious about the exact reason behind it. Is this a unique problem for me?

Test with one stick of RAM at a time to observe the pattern. Visit your Motherboard makers site to check for chipset updates beyond BIOS updates. Experiment with different power settings in Windows, such as High Performance mode, to see if the issue persists. Run sfc /scannow on your Windows drive.

Thank you for your reply.
Besides the BIOS, I updated every chip I could think of (AMD Chipsets, drivers, etc.).
I ran sfc /scannow as you recommended, and it reported no problems.
Yesterday I swapped in brand new 16x2 (32 GB) Crucial RAM sticks, but the freeze still occurred, indicating the issue isn’t with the RAM.
The freeze happened once before in BIOS a few days ago when I was adjusting settings. This suggests the problem is hardware-related rather than software caused.
Just two steps remain after your suggestions:
1. Switch to High Performance mode in Windows settings.
2. Disconnect one RAM stick and check if the issue persists.
I changed my power settings to “Best Performance” now and will let you know if it stops freezing. If it continues, I’ll try the second solution.
Thank you for your assistance and time!
