I experienced a problem where entering Windows 11 credentials caused the password entry window to freeze and crash. I've attempted several restarts, but it doesn't resolve the issue.

It might be better to avoid sharing your email that way.

When no one here provides a solution, many people rely on Windows, which means your problem is likely seen before. A quick search should help locate a response. Microsoft offers email support for account-related issues, though it tends to be very slow—answers may take weeks due to back-and-forth communication.

This would be a clever method to catch a rickroll. I’m going to pretend I didn’t notice it. Fortunately, goatse has largely disappeared. I doubt that picture even exists anymore. That would have been far worse. I verified it—I won’t be quoting it in any post. Just use an image editor to edit it and re-upload. You’ll want the pencil icon.

It seems nothing changed with Google, unfortunately. It appears to have resolved itself, though it might reappear later.

It's just a useless thing I only use when things get bad.

I’m not confident about automatic fixes in computers either. They don’t behave that way. My Google search isn’t strong, but I get the idea there are training systems involved. Research librarians are the real experts with Google Search.

It's frustrating right now because I'm struggling to locate anything. It seems weird with three Windows 11 machines—desktop, pro, and a Razer Blade—each running different versions. The desktop is the only one having problems. I switched my file server from 10 Pro to Server 2022, but that didn't help either.

I wasn’t aware of servers before. That’s cool. I’m mostly using 11 because I have ecores now.

The main issue is the absence of local accounts on 11. For personal use, a Microsoft account works better, but logging in with a server is difficult because you can't manually enter the username and password for the admin account, and it doesn't always match your Microsoft credentials. Using a local account is simpler. As for why I'm on 11, it's now quite stable, and I personally prefer the Astatic along with some new features—besides the updated right-click menu. For me, 11 feels similar to Windows 10 version 2.0 with visual tweaks, rather than a completely new OS. To be honest, I also think Windows 8.1 was more like concept art for Windows 10, setting the foundation for many of its features.
