Windows 11 issue with missing M.2 SSD drive
I bought an important M.2 SSD 2TB from Amazon to boost my laptop's storage in January. So far everything has functioned normally. Recently, while trying to load games on Steam, the drive vanished from all places and couldn't be found in the control panel or BIOS. I searched for it in software and changed the drive connections to different ports, but it still works when swapped. Is it possible the drive is failing? Ten months isn’t long enough for an SSD, and I want to figure out what might have happened before spending more money. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
You might find clues in the Event Viewer related to when the drive stopped working.
I've tried all the suggestions Crucial offers, but nothing resolved the issue. I reached out to customer support, and they're sending me a replacement. I'm still unsure what caused the problem, but I'm relieved my data was backed up. Appreciate any assistance!
