Sure thing! Your Windows 11 laptop isn't connecting to your Samsung S22 anymore via USB, even after updates and fixing boot issues. It seems like a driver or related file might be missing. The phone charges but doesn't show up in Explorer when connected. You're not alone—this can be tricky. Let's troubleshoot together!

On the phone, tap the pull-down menu, select USB options (if connected), and verify it’s set to MTP (or file transfer). Spoiler: It works.

Confirmed right away—file transfer is active. Tested various cables and devices, but it still doesn’t work. It seems the problem might be with the phone itself!

Ensure no USB OTG settings are active that switch it to host mode. Otherwise, the issue might stem from software or a faulty port.

Looking at the phone from another angle, after testing various cables and gear, it seems like the issue might be with the device itself.

Ensure the USB C port is free from dust and debris. Switch to a different port on the PC side. Test with another computer to verify connectivity. Confirm the "controlled by" setting is accurate. Use another device to check if the cable works properly. This step is just attempting to determine what isn't working.
