Consider your needs and priorities before deciding. The video you mentioned highlights some drawbacks of Windows 11, so weigh those against your current requirements and future plans.

The video was released about a year ago, and since then many improvements have been made. Based on what I've seen, it feels quite similar to Windows 10, just with a refreshed user interface. It's worth taking advantage of the free update while it's still available.

windows 11 works just fine, though it had some issues early on. most people don’t notice much difference, especially for gaming. if you’re starting over, it’s okay to try anyway.

There are often videos available, but personal experience shows you don't face issues when using it yourself. I've been running Windows 11 for a while after the update without any problems.

I've encountered a really frustrating situation with Windows 11 on my work laptop. Besides the problems, I haven't discovered any solid reasons to switch to Windows 11 when Windows 10 remains functional.

Windows 10 seems unnecessary now. Version 11 has worked well across my four personal devices for more than a year.

Make sure your BIOS/UEFI is completely current. Install the newest Windows 11 drivers after upgrading, covering all your devices: sound, internet, printer, chipset, keyboard, and mouse. Your main storage should be an SSD. Ensure UEFI is turned on and BIOS CSM is turned off. A fresh installation is usually advised (back up your files first), to avoid carrying over issues from Windows 10 to Windows 11. Since system details are unknown, it’s best to proceed with caution.

It's interesting you point this out, especially since I only realized it recently with my 7900x model. My 5800x is working just fine. The Nvidia overlay highlighted it right away. On my newer machine, the CPU usage stays between 1-3%, which is much lower than what Task Manager shows. On my older 5800x, it matched perfectly. I thought this might be an issue with the new Zen4 platform since both are running on the same 22H2 version.
