Hello Everyone, I recently assembled my first PC and everything was working perfectly on the first boot. However, installing Windows 11, setting up Ethernet or USB tethering from my iPhone isn’t showing up, which is stopping me from continuing. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Components:
- Motherboard: Gigabyte B660m Aorus Pro AX DDR4
- CPU: Intel i5 12400
- RAM: 16GB DDR4
- GPU: GSKill Ripjaw X 3600
- Storage: C16

Get the network card drivers from Gigabyte’s site, save them to a USB drive, and install them. Check the motherboard support page for Ethernet and wireless options. Consider downloading audio drivers too, since the default package might include extra control panel features. Visit Intel’s site to use their Driver & Support Assistant (Intel DSA) – it scans your system and provides the newest drivers directly from Intel. If available, install chipset drivers that are more recent than those Windows automatically applies.

I’m having trouble opening Windows 11 since the installation stops when there’s no internet connection.

Well, that's not very clever. The link points to bypassing the Windows login process on Windows 11, which is similar to how you'd navigate through the Windows logon menu in Windows 95 by using help and printing to access a save dialog for launching Explorer.

It's unusual. The datasheet mentions an Intel 2.5GbE controller, so I'd think Windows 11 should come with compatible drivers. Perhaps the chipset has changed and isn't using the older i225-V model. Instead of repeating what others have said, here are some unconventional suggestions: If you're struggling with internet bypass in Windows 11, consider using a tool like NTLite to install drivers via ISO. It's possible the Ethernet port isn't functioning properly. You might verify this by switching to another operating system temporarily—Windows 10 or Ubuntu—to see if the port responds. If it does, the driver configuration is likely the issue. If not, you may need to return the board for replacement. A USB or PCIe Ethernet adapter with native drivers could also work as a workaround. I usually have several Ethernet adapters on hand, but this can be a handy troubleshooting step.

You managed to get Windows 10 installed using a USB drive, but it didn't recognize the Ethernet during setup. Once installation was complete, it automatically detected your network connection. The Gigabyte app center began installing drivers, specifically for the i225-V Ethernet adapter. I don't understand why this happened, but it seems unrelated to your motherboard—this appears to be a Windows-related problem.
