Windows 11 + hardware swap assistance needed
I understand your situation. I’m here to assist you. Your PC has been with you for six years, and you’ve had some changes but now you’re facing issues with the new motherboard. You bought a new MSI board and love it, but you’re stuck because Windows 11 won’t let you log in to certain apps. You’ve tried everything Microsoft recommends and haven’t found any corrupted files. I’m here to help you troubleshoot and hopefully get your PC working again without losing your important files.
The only choice seems to be restarting this device—super comforting, but I still need a backup plan for the 6TB of data.
I’ll check what I can manage; I’m sure I’ll have to handle the data loss from the massage.
Sorry to hear you're facing this situation. Fortunately, I have sufficient space in my cloud storage to back up important files and saves. You'll just need to re-download the main files and software from the boot drive. It's a good idea to offload what you can to your mass storage drives, disconnecting them so only the boot drive is impacted. Although it might lose around 100GB of data, it's better than losing the entire 6TB of games and files.
Check if the issue is just a login error. If so, proceed with clearing the cache or re-registering the store. Ensure time and region settings are up to date.
