Windows 11 faces several hardware issues that cause the system to freeze or lock up.
Hello, I'm facing numerous hardware issues with Windows 11 today. The system has become unstable twice, showing an error that says the OS isn't responding. When I try to force close it, data is at risk. The taskbar and cursor function normally, but the area above it turns completely black or white, and nothing appears with the hourglass icon. The first instability happened after updating NVIDIA drivers, making the interface unresponsive even though I could still interact with the taskbar. The second issue occurred while streaming on Chrome during a Twitch session; I could still control the cursor but saw a "not responding" warning from Windows.
I attempted to fix things by updating the GPU drivers, hoping it would resolve the problem—but it didn't. Checking the reliability history in Control Panel revealed six errors today. Over the past month, there have been occasional issues (up to three at a time), but not all at once. I initially suspected MSI Afterburner was the cause, so I stopped using it temporarily and it stopped all errors for six days until now.
Recently, I encountered another lock-up around 10:20 PM, which is now 10:38 PM. In the advanced error view, all entries list the same codes: 1a8, 1b8, 141, 193, 117. The system runs fine except for XMP (DDR5, 5200) and a low voltage on my CPU (13700k, -60mv offset with MSI lite load 8). While some online sources link these codes to a GPU like RTX 3070 Ti, I'm not certain.
For now, I've kept the CPU at stock voltage, as there are no WHEA errors and no BSOD or full freezes. I ran XTU stress tests for about 45 minutes, and everything worked perfectly. I've tried reinstalling chipset and network drivers, verified Windows integrity (DISM, SFC), installed a new NVIDIA driver (531.79), reinstalled it manually, run diagnostics, switched to the GPU BIOS, but nothing resolved the problem.
The only recent change was downloading and installing iCUE 5, which has since caused 6-8 errors. Looking back in reliability history, I see 1 to 3 errors roughly every 2-4 days over the past month. None of these stopped the system from freezing completely. I'm still unsure whether it's the GPU, a driver, or Windows settings. I need my system to function properly right now. Please help me, thank you.

I've been investigating further but still facing issues. Replaced the GPU with another Nvidia model yet errors persist. Even tested with an iGPU, no problems were found, though usage was limited to a few hours. Performed a clean driver reinstall via DDU in safe mode, which initially helped but later triggered another error. The screen briefly flashed black after resetting the driver, but logs are missing from reliability history or Event Viewer. This occurred right after logging in after turning on the PC. Also noticed that when an error approaches, the mouse cursor slows down and some interfaces freeze while the keyboard remains functional and audio works. The mouse performance drops notably when GeForce Experience is active.
