Occasionally, when idle or handling light tasks such as streaming on YouTube, my windows can softly freeze. I can move a mouse, launch some applications, but cannot restart or reboot from the start menu. My system details are:
•R9 5900X with 360AiO stock settings
•32GB 2x16 3600MHz CL16 Corsair Vengeance RT RGB (stock)
•B550 Asus Gaming F (latest BIOS, but issue occurred previously)
•HX750i Corsair PSU
•M.2 1Tb Gen3 with good health
•RX 6800XT Merc319 UV up to 1100mV (tested stock)

All drivers are up-to-date, running Windows 23h2 (even at 22h2 the problem persists). I’ve read before that Corsair Vengeance RT RGB can cause such issues, though I’ve owned this model for a long time. This full-freezing behavior is new. My system stays stable under load and during gaming with reasonable temperatures. I suspect my older 5700X might have been the culprit, but upgrading to 5900X didn’t resolve it.

I’m currently using HWinfo64, Lian Li L-Connect 3 (version 2.0.4) for fans, MSI Afterburner with RivaTuner for 60fps lock, Adrenaline Software, and Razer Synapse for mouse. Any suggestions? Have others experienced similar problems? Could this be linked to a faulty M.2 drive?

Have you explored the High performance, either/or balanced power setting in Windows?

Did you attempt a clean boot through the System Configuration and observe any changes?

Absolutely, both adjustments were made. I disabled the auto shutdown for hard drives, though it wasn't essential since I was using an M.2 drive while streaming on YouTube.
