Hello! I have been facing a little trouble with Windows 11, sometimes when I play, or when I leave the computer on for a few minutes, I try to click on my desktop or hover over my desktop icons to click on one, and it doesn't react. The cursor does not change to the loading variant, nor does the desktop close or crash, it just doesn't respond. I also have noticed some lag when I hover over my desktop items, this does not happen when I hover slowly over them or I just restart my computer. What could be causing this? This is my hardware: Ryzen 5 7600x Nvidia 3060ti 16gb DDR5 5200Mhz 750W BeQuiet! PSU

Review your task manager for any unusual resource usage like high CPU or RAM. Also, verify if one core is locked at full capacity—this could indicate an issue.

All appears fine except for a single steam process indicating "Launching..." and no game is currently active.

I've experienced this before. My PC stays on even when unused, and launching from the desktop after a while doesn't work right away. Sometimes it takes a few seconds, then it might respond after another attempt. Usually, it ends up needing three tries to get going. I think the desktop process is entering low-power mode, which makes it slow to react. I've just tolerated it because it's only slightly bothersome, but I'd like to understand what's happening.

Shift a few icons from one area to the other side of the screen. The next time this occurs, test the opposite side of your screen icons.

Same here. It's not a big deal, but it's a bit bothersome. I'll give it another shot!

I found some intriguing outcomes. It seems you meant my second screen, so I added icons there and they functioned properly. After leaving the machine running for a while, I returned and encountered the issue again. I tested hovering the cursor over an icon on my second monitor—it worked well—but the first screen still displayed the same behavior. I plan to check icons on the right side of my first monitor to see if that resolves the problem.

To troubleshoot, open and close the Widget panel to check if the icon functions properly. This might be the issue you're experiencing.
