Hello everyone! I've encountered an odd problem with my home network setup. After switching internet providers and using the same router, a new modem is now handling the connection. My Wi-Fi appears at the very bottom of the available networks list, which is really frustrating in this busy apartment building. Plus, my Windows 11 devices disconnect when I power off or sleep, forcing me to reconnect and re-enter the password each time. The Wi-Fi icon now shows a strange 'X' mark—it's unclear what that means. I saw another person ask the same thing on the Windows forum last year, but no help was found. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

To save energy, it's typical to reduce power usage. On a desktop, you can disable it via the power options in the device manager for the Wi-Fi adapter.
