Windows 11 becomes unresponsive upon starting.
Hi,
My Windows 11 system freezes after startup, even the RAM indicator stays stuck in the same state. This happens randomly and typically occurs within the first five minutes of booting. Once it stops, I can only press the power button to turn it off. When I try to restart it again, the MSI EZ debug lights freeze at the DRAM light and do nothing further. To power it back on, I need to disconnect the power supply, wait a minute, and then restart. The PC usually freezes again within a minute afterward.
For any details that might help, please let me know.
Thanks for your time, and we’ll look into a solution together.
Windows : 22H2
Build 22621.2283
what are the specifications of the pc?
have you tried entering safe mode to check if it works there?
navigate to settings/system/recovery
click on Advanced startup, then select restart now
this will restart the pc through a blue menu
select troubleshoot
advance to advanced options
choose startup settings
click the restart button
select a safe mode (any number will work)
the pc will restart and enter safe mode
if it fails, it might indicate a driver issue
or it could suggest the hardware is still functional in safe mode
It seems like POST is indicating a possible RAM problem. You should never overlook such warnings, as they serve an important purpose. Start by taking out your RAM cards and repositioning them completely, then check if the issue resolves. Next, if you're using multiple RAM cards, remove one at a time and attempt the test again. Continue this process for each card removed.
