Windows 11 24h2 release may cause blue screens when playing games with Easy Anti-Cheat.
Some earlier versions of Easy Anti-Cheat don't work with 24h2 and may trigger BSODs. Users with outdated EAC drivers (pre-April 2024) aren't receiving the 24h2 patch via Windows Update until it's resolved. Only systems running Alder Lake (and possibly Raptor Lake variants or updated Alder Lake CPUs) on vPro platforms are impacted. The link mentions "Alder Lake+" – could that refer to newer models? Refer to the Microsoft release notes for details. It appears the responsibility lies with the game developers to update EAC unless Microsoft provides a fix.
WarThunder employs EAC. Files in the EAC directory show modification dates prior to April 2024.
Microsoft needs to concentrate on refining the operating system and addressing the ridiculous UI changes rather than introducing more features.
