Hello,
I'm using Win 11 Pro with a local account and facing several problems. I need to perform a clean install because the official public release hasn't arrived yet, and I can't afford to wait. My concern is whether downloading an insider version via UUP Dump and installing it will affect my license. Will it activate properly and keep me updated?
Thanks!

Why do you
need
to wait for 23H2?
Just install what is current and move on.
Leave the Insider thing alone completely.

I'm experiencing quite bothersome problems with the current build, and I'm hoping 23h2 can address these issues

What are these "annoying issues"?
It seems this isn't related to the present version, but to something different.
Spot the issue before trying a fix.
Regardless, the Insider program isn't right for you.

The file copy speed and usb 3 copy speed are highly inconsistent, sometimes functioning properly, but often extremely slow.
I've experienced this problem for over six months now. With limited software licenses, I need to renew them soon, so I chose a clean OS installation.

I have 22H2, (Build 2262.2361) and don't have the same problems.
It's unlikely this exact version is available.
Just attempt a new OS installation with the latest updates, and observe the outcome.
Perform a complete wipe and reinstall, not just a simple reset.

Did that many times, everything was updated, a lot of time was spent fixing problems, even changed the bios, but nothing worked.
I saw others on the web facing the same problem and never found a solution; each time I thought I’d solved it, the issues returned.
My system was functioning well before a certain update (though I don’t remember the exact version), and after that point I couldn’t get it working again. Many users are experiencing similar problems.
Microsoft released an update (about a month or two ago?) meant to improve SSD performance, which did help speed up file copying between internal drives to a reasonable level. However, sending files via USB 3 remains a challenge for me and others.
Sincerely,
Kind Regards

23H2 doesn't change very much, I have seen reports all it does is change the version number - which they have done before on Win 10. One update didn't add anything.
If its an update that caused it, win 11 23H2 will have all the updates baked in, so its not going to get any easier going forward
If you hadn't clean installed already, I would suggest this -

Thanks, I've already performed a full OS installation several times without success, so I'll postpone the new installation as long as possible before trying again. Perhaps an update will resolve this issue.
