Hello, I'm looking for advice from others who are using Windows 11 with an unsupported CPU. My laptop has an i7 6700HQ processor, TPM 2.0 is enabled, and Secure Boot is active. I'm curious about the impact of bypassing security via regedit and how Windows would function on this setup. Anyone else experiencing similar issues?

It functions properly; no modifications were required because the installer accepts it when TPM 2.0 and secure boot are enabled. I only needed to approve a confirmation dialog indicating the CPU wasn't supported.

Using Rufus with a Windows 11 USB allows skipping CPU requirements, making installation possible even on older processors. Updates will still be available unless the device is extremely outdated.

I tested it thoroughly from the AMD E-450 up to the Intel i3-540. If nothing altered after that, it functions just as intended.

They arrive during the regular patch Tuesday alongside my other devices that satisfy the criteria.

Windows 10's support period is essentially the same as 23H2, meaning upgrading for security updates beyond that is just extra benefit.
