I upgraded to Windows 11 for improved HDR performance and also updated my GPU and monitor. I observed that Windows activates my AVX offset during idle mode, a feature absent in Windows 10. Does Windows 11 rely on AVX instructions to operate smoothly when no programs are running except the stress test I use? I prefer a higher clock speed because the offset causes instability if set to zero. My CPU runs at 5GHz across all cores with an AVX offset of 2, but performance drops to 4-8 at maximum.

Win 11 is not great. I’d stick with Windows 10. It runs better on the CPU and takes advantage of AVX if needed. You could also boost the voltage a bit and try AVX offset 0.

You're referring to different versions of Windows Vista. There were several iterations: Vista 1, Vista 2, Vista 3, Vista 7, Vista 8, Vista 8.1, Vista 10, and now Vista 11. So Vista 11 represents the sixth major update in that series.

I disagree: Windows 2000 (OK), Windows Me (Sux), XP (OK), Vista (OK), 7 (OK), 8/Me 2 (Sux), 10/Me 3 (Sux), 11/Me 4(Sux) I used Vista back in the day and have never had problems with it, People thought that Vista was bad because their PCs were too underspecced to run it.
