I recently switched to Windows 10 and installed the MSI Krait X99 MOBO. I visited their site to download the latest Realtek audio driver. After setting it up, the usual installation steps started. Old programs were uninstalled and the new ones were applied. But I'm stuck in an endless cycle. Once the old software was removed, the computer would restart, then the setup would appear again, followed by another uninstall process. Even after canceling the second one and restarting, the old driver remained active. The second problem is that I need audio from both my USB headset and Logitech speakers. In the audio settings, I tried enabling stereo mixing and setting it as default, but it didn't work. Sound came out sometimes, but my microphone wouldn't function properly. It worked fine on Windows 8.1 now. Any suggestions to resolve this with Windows 10?

Realtek software feels terrible. It cuts audio everywhere it doesn’t reach and often lowers volume too much. For help, I wrote another article on changing drivers via Device Manager. You can also pick "Automatically find drivers" in the top menu, which usually installs them without needing a custom setup.

According to the request, everything was functioning on Windows 8.1 after an update, suggesting the microphone problem might still be unresolved.
