Windows 10 caused some major issues with my system. My PC went offline for three days! I installed Windows 10 over Windows 7 with an update, but it took nearly 25 hours. After that, it worked fine for a couple of days—until I tried turning it back on and saw the logo loading slowly for about three hours. It felt like it was stuck. Now I’m back to using Windows 7 64-bit.

I followed similar specifications, and I didn’t encounter any issues. I first updated to Windows 10, then performed a clean install—no changes to region, language, or settings. You can adjust settings later and do a fresh install after the upgrade. I noticed the files were corrupted, which is why installation took so long. No need for a key if you’ve already upgraded; just register it to your account.

It looks like you're among the rare users who got the latest version without any problems, except for a few known Windows issues that developers are working to fix soon.

What if you try the windows 10 setup/ installer from the microsoft website? I waited for the automatic update, but then just downloaded the installer and did it manually.

someone shared instructions on using a tool to extract files from C: drive, or another method to get them directly from Microsoft's site without needing a key.
