Windows 10 - WiFi lacks a valid IP configuration
Yesterday, unexpectedly after a restart, my WiFi connection disappeared. After checking, I received the issue described in this thread. I searched online and attempted these steps: reset TCP/IP, adjusted channel width to auto, manually set IP address, updated drivers for my WiFi adapter, disabled antivirus and firewall temporarily, but nothing resolved it. Now when I hover over the WiFi icon in the taskbar, it shows 'unidentified network - no Internet access.' Anyone have suggestions? I’m not sure what else to try besides reformatting.
Sure, I've also experimented with things like resetting Winsock.
You might need to source it from the gigabyte website since it's also affected by the 1709/1803 update
Gigabyte is the model in question, running an Intel WiFi card. The issue is that it's a friend's laptop, and I can't bring it back for driver downloads. I removed the card and let Windows install the default drivers, hoping it would at least let me connect and update properly, but it didn’t work.
which lenovo? I can't help u if I dont know what I am working on. More detail the better
Hello, I'm using an IdeaPad 510 with a Wi-Fi card that supports Intel dual-band wireless AC 3165.
Yes, you can connect your phone to the laptop using a USB cable.
