AMD provides Linux drivers, but switching to Linux is the main alternative. Otherwise, you can only make your system run as a Hackintosh—though we won’t cover the details here. Your processor won’t function with older Windows versions.

You can turn off Cortana, you can disable the auto-start feature it's called "pick up where I left off," and there are automatic updates since most users assume they're safe. Perhaps exploring the settings would help reduce the complaints you're seeing.

The only suggestion is to use Wine on Linux so you can run certain Windows applications. However, some functionalities may still be turned off.

If it's your setup, you should be able to skip the update. Windows 10 treats your PC as their own, which isn't ideal.

You can conceal it from the task bar and turn it off, yet Cortana returns when you close the process tree. The "resume where I left off" option is included in the Cortana package, and disabling it shouldn’t affect these settings. In Windows 10, Google’s update feature works under the name "pick up where I left off," and clicking the relevant link should resolve the issue. Not every automatically installed update is a security patch, though many exist.

Really? You're relying on their operating system and their rules. Still, folks are upset...

Consider Windows 10 LTS version. It offers security patches for a decade and no new features. You also have the option to disable tracking.

It appears as a tactic to shift responsibility for security issues onto users by mandating updates, rather than letting them disable updates while retaining full capabilities. It serves as a partial excuse for data collection, highlighting the need to also adjust privacy settings that could be altered via updates.
