Windows 10 VPN application becomes unresponsive or freezes during configuration.
The file appears to be devoid of content. I’m cautious about executing a script without understanding its purpose.
They shared a script from Microsoft that they say works well. It uses Get-AppXPackage to disable development mode and registers the app via AppXManifest.xml. Run it in PowerShell with admin rights. The tool pulls data from the Windows 10 manifest, which is the method corporate IT systems follow.
Tried it again and the issue remained unchanged after a restart.
Consider using a dedicated software VPN client. Check if your VPN service provides its own application. Windows 10's VPN configurations are often unreliable.
I don’t have a VPN service installed. I’m using it for my SBS2011 device and two routers at different sites. I checked the VPN client, but it seems linked to a provider or not functioning properly on Windows 10. Edit: My main aim is still to understand why the built-in VPN tool is behaving this way. As before, everything worked fine. (Also, I had to click four times to establish a connection, which they now resolved)
