Windows 10 version 1803 does not progress to update and reach version 1903.
Hey everyone, I'm trying to upgrade my laptop from version 1803 to 1903. The Windows Update is showing an error code 0x80070005. I've checked DISM, SFC, and the media creation tool, but they all seem to work. The tool then reports that the Windows 10 installation failed. Since this isn't mine, I don't want to reinstall. Any tips?
I'll remember that. I'm hoping it isn't formatted for the person.
Uncle Billy's plans for us involve enduring challenges and using his operating system. The 1809 version was problematic, with numerous bugs and unexpected data loss. After improvements in the first release, some deleted content reappeared. Some users faced complete data deletion. By the third release effort, everything was fixed and the original 1809 was updated to eliminate major issues, though it wasn't flawless. In 1903, significant bug fixes and changes were implemented. I strongly suggest scheduling a major update every six months and checking the chat support for more insights.
I consulted a "Windows Advisor" who suggested using the Windows Update Tool—something I hadn’t noticed before. I’ll give it a try if it doesn’t help.
