Windows 10 version 1607 has reported several issues.
Hello, I've set up Windows 10 1607 on my computer. After that, it doesn't power off fully—just shuts down while fans and lights stay on. Pressing the power button won’t get it running again; I have to use the PSU power switch to shut it down. I’ve switched back to Windows 1607 after installing 1809, but I still experience stuttering even after several clean installations. I’m using a new SSD with my original 1TB HDD for secondary storage. Here’s my PC setup: CPU – Intel Core i5 3550, RAM – 8GB 1600MHz, Adata drive, Motherboard – ASUS P8B75-V, SSD – WD Green 256GB, HDD – WD 1TB, PSU – COOLER MASTER MWE 550, Case – CM 690 II Advanced.
The only explanation seems to be that Windows sometimes fails to complete certain tasks during shutdown. Attempt to disable fast boot and turn off hybrid sleep in Windows settings. Restart and then try to shut down again. Could you clarify what you mean by "multiple"? Are you referring to 10, 20, or more occurrences? It's worth noting that a clean installation of Windows 98 typically needs around 1809 attempts before it functions properly—people are aware of this. But seriously, why not focus on drivers and settings instead of repeatedly installing the same system? I suspect 1809 will work if you set it up correctly.
