For my latest setup, I’m using an installation disc. I’m choosing this over a fresh Windows 10 copy on a flash drive since the disc is tailored for Windows 10 Enterprise. The main concern is whether to install updates first or drivers first. Thanks!

Make sure you install the Windows updates first, since they include essential drivers, and then proceed with other drivers. Cheers!

honestly imo doesn't really matter, i just have a usb with all drivers that i downloaded while waiting for windows to install, and just hit update windows and start installing all the drivers at the same time. no reason to sit around and wait longer

Actually, it's not ideal since the system restarts and reboots often, which could wipe out driver update information. Additionally, download speeds get affected, making it a common guideline to prioritize updates for drivers.

When the Windows system is online, it’s likely a background update is already running, possibly updating drivers for hardware. I’d let that complete first, since installing multiple updates at once isn’t reliable. After stabilization, you can proceed with additional driver updates. If the system is offline, prioritize a manual driver install so Windows doesn’t need to update them later.

That’s not a wise move. The install disc is likely an old version of Windows 10. This could result in you being limited to only a few major OS updates plus some smaller ones, or even worse, the installation might crash with a BSOD because the drivers on the disc aren’t compatible with your hardware. It’s better to get the newest version and build your own USB installer.
