Windows 10 troubleshooting guide for CMS support
I planned to upgrade to Windows 11 using TPM 2.0. I disabled CSM and enabled secure boot, saved the changes, exited BIOS, and the PC emitted five angry beeps. The motherboard codes indicated a CPU issue, but it was actually functioning before I altered the BIOS. Someone suggested checking if the monitor was off or unplugged—since I hadn’t removed them or powered down the system. If anyone has advice, I’d really appreciate it.
It functions properly, but I don't need to turn it off to view the secure boot feature in your BIOS.
Make sure you've switched your drive to GPT before turning off CSM. Otherwise, disabling CSM might prevent you from booting into Windows. For Intel platforms, Reddit recommends activating PTT via BIOS after enabling secure boot.
Only the drive with Windows should be addressed; the others remain unaffected.
