Windows 10 TP: "Interface not found"
Hey there, I installed the technical preview with Windows Update and now I can't open music or video files. The error message keeps appearing. I checked forums and tried several fixes, but nothing worked. No reports on Windows 10 mentioned this issue, though many said they couldn’t open documents or access settings either. My system language is German, and the original text says "Schnittstelle nicht unterstützt." It looks like others also face problems with Internet Explorer and possibly FTP. Since my case isn’t exactly the same, I’m worried about changing registry entries. Anyone have any ideas on what might be causing this or how to fix it? Thanks =)
Use a different application for those extensions, such as avoiding the Windows Reader for PDFs or the Music Windows app for music files. This resolved the issue for me.
