Beyond potential software conflicts and limited gaming options, would hardware problems arise? I’m aware that some Linux distributions and MacOS versions can encounter issues with specific motherboards, drivers, and graphics cards. Your setup includes 8GB RAM, 2400MHz processor, 120GB SSD, 1TB HDD, an i5-9600K with six cores, and a GTX 1060 3GB. You’re also using an ASRock Z390M-ITX/ac LGA 1151 (300 Series) motherboard.

Very unlikely to believe the extent of open-source Linux's openness.

It’s helpful to know how to keep Windows installed while troubleshooting Linux systems.

Linux can be set up alongside Windows and it displays a selection screen when starting up. Test it with versions 18.10 or 19.04 (believe it).

I never considered looking up Nvidia drivers online, really didn’t think about it much.

I intended to rely on the distribution as my primary application.

I recommend the 18.04 LTS version. These updates offer better stability and support, though you'll miss out on the latest improvements. My friend experienced issues with even basic tools on 19.04.

Could you elaborate on the "basic tools"?

Can't recall it from memory, but I know he faced problems with Git, though I'm not sure what the precise problem was.
